Social Media and Content Specialist

Job description

We're looking for a highly motivated, curious, and creative colleague, with experience and passion for media and communication.

As our creative Social Media and Content Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring our Social Media strategy in order to increase our online presence and improve our marketing and sales efforts. Furthermore, in order to keep our audience informed and well engaged, you'll be responsible for creating and posting original and relevant content in the form of articles, blog posts, and social media posts, as well as providing regular status updates and metrics reports. You will manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals.

To be successful in this role, you should have experience with digital publishing and generating traffic and leads for scaling businesses, with the ultimate goals of acquiring new well-targeted fans, converting fans to customers, and turning loyal customers into advocates. We expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express our company’s views creatively.

You will be working closely with our Growth team, as well as our Admissions and Employment teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Designing and implementing a social media strategy aligned with our business goals;
  • Leveraging the right tools to manage and schedule your content;
  • Creating, editing, publishing and sharing engaging and relevant content in the form of articles, blogposts, and social media posts;
  • Communicating with followers, responding to direct messages in a timely manner, and monitoring reviews;
  • Pro-actively looking for organic ways to help the content get more reach and engagement;
  • Investigating and experimenting with new social media platforms;
  • Staying up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, including tools and applications;
  • Setting specific objectives, measure the success of social media efforts, and report on relevant metrics and ROI;

  • Experience with managing and scaling social media accounts;
  • Hands-on experience in content creation;
  • Knowledge of (upcoming) online marketing channels;
  • Ability to work independently as well as in teams;
